Our service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, ensuring that the people we support always have access to the care they need, when they need it.
Proudly registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to provide the regulated activity of personal care within supported living settings. Our approach is built on a foundation of compassion, integrity, and a genuine commitment to helping every person we support live the life they choose.
Who We Support
Winsome Care Ltd provides specialist supported living services to six distinct groups of adults, each with tailored support approaches informed by recognised best practice frameworks, current NICE guidance, and CQC quality standards:
Adults Aged 18 to 65
We support working-age adults to maintain and develop their independence, pursue employment and educational opportunities, build and sustain relationships, and participate fully in their communities.
Adults Aged 65 and Over
We provide compassionate support that enables older adults to remain living in their own homes for as long as possible, with specialist knowledge in falls prevention, nutrition monitoring, and coordination with community health services.
People with Physical Disabilities
We focus on removing barriers, promoting autonomy, and enabling people to do as much as possible for themselves, with support provided only where it is wanted and needed.
People Living with Dementia
Our specialist dementia support is guided by NICE Guideline NG97 and the person-centred dementia care principles developed by Professor Tom Kitwood, with each person supported as an individual, not defined by their diagnosis.
People with Mental Health Needs
We deliver recovery-oriented support guided by NICE guidelines and our Registered Manager's specialist expertise as a Trainee Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP).
People with Learning Disabilities and/or Autistic People
Our support is delivered in full alignment with CQC's Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture framework, the REACH Standards, and the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.
Our Approach to Supported Living
At Winsome Care Ltd, we believe that every person deserves support which upholds their dignity, promotes independence, and respects their right to make choices about their own life. Our approach is built around several core principles that guide everything we do.
Person-Centred Support Planning
Every person we support has a co-produced, person-centred support plan developed in genuine partnership with the individual, their family or chosen representatives, and relevant professionals. Support plans are not documents that sit in a file; they are living plans that reflect the person's unique strengths, goals, preferences, and aspirations. Plans are reviewed regularly and updated to reflect changes in the person's needs and wishes.
Genuine Tenancy Rights
We operate exclusively as a care and support provider. We do not own, lease, or manage any housing. This means that every person we support has a genuine tenancy with an independent housing provider, with all the rights and responsibilities that tenancy brings. People can choose their care provider and change provider without losing their home. This separation between care and housing is fundamental to our model and ensures full compliance with the REAL Tenancy Test.
Specialist Leadership
Our leadership team brings a rare combination of professional expertise. Our Registered Manager, Mrs Rejoice Odetoyinbo, holds a Master of Arts in Social Work from the University of Manchester, is a qualified social worker, and is a Trainee Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). Our Nominated Individual, Mr Oluwadara Odetoyinbo, holds a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from the University of Plymouth and is an Associate Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (ACIPD). Together, they bring deep knowledge of social care, mental health, psychology, workforce management, and regulatory compliance.
Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture
For people with learning disabilities and autistic people, we are fully committed to CQC's Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture framework from the very outset. This means supporting people to have maximum choice, control, and independence, with restrictive practices avoided wherever possible and only used as a last resort subject to proper legal authorisation. Our service is designed to promote empowerment, not dependence.
What We Provide
Our regulated personal care services include a comprehensive range of support tailored to each individual's assessed needs:
Assistance with washing, bathing, showering, oral hygiene, and all aspects of personal care
Support with dressing, undressing, and choosing clothing
Support with eating and drinking where this involves physical assistance or supervision
Assistance with toileting, continence management, and related intimate care
Support with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and the use of mobility aids
Skin integrity monitoring and pressure area care as directed by healthcare professionals
Administration, prompting, and monitoring of medication
Monitoring and recording of health observations
Emotional wellbeing support, including active listening, reassurance, and de-escalation

We are a Liverpool-based, family-owned company with deep knowledge of local communities, health services, and the commissioning landscape across Liverpool and the wider Northwest. Decisions are made locally by people who understand Liverpool and the wider Northwest, not by a distant head office.
Relationship-Based Care
Our operational model prioritises continuity of staffing and manageable caseloads. Each person we support knows their support workers, and our support workers know each person as an individual, not as a set of tasks.
Robust Quality Assurance
We operate regular unannounced spot checks, monthly medication audits, quarterly support plan reviews, and annual quality reviews against all 34 CQC quality statements. Our commitment to quality goes beyond minimum compliance.
